How is that you can see the background behind these people? I have had a few pictures turn out like this and I don't know how it is happening.
When you have a long exposure shot - (i.e. long shutter speed), a ghosting effect happens with objects in motion. If you are getting this ghosting effect, check your shutter speeds. If you don't want this to happen, use a tripod, reduce shutter speed, and increase your ISO, which allows you to have faster shutter speeds.
